An evening safari in Minneriya, Kaudulla, or Eco Park, determined by elephant movements and water levels, delivers an unforgettable experience. Witness numerous elephants, alongside fantastic birdwatching opportunities, perfect for nature enthusiasts. This adventure is available year-round, but the peak of the dry season in August and September unveils the spectacular Minneriya Elephant Gathering, where up to 200 elephants graze along the Minneriya Reservoir. Safaris commence at 2.30 p.m., with our expert team guiding you to the best park based on elephant activity, ensuring a captivating wildlife expedition.

Good to Know

To see elephants by jeep we recommend this safari.

The off-beat nature of the park means that there will be far fewer jeeps compared to any other national park in Sri Lanka offering a relaxing experience.

We recommend starting at 1.30 p.m. for the best sightings.
