Awareness Creation & Capacity Building

At Thema Collection, we are committed to increasing women’s participation in the tourism industry through awareness creation and capacity-building sessions. To further this mission, we established Thema Talks in 2023—a dynamic platform that brings together experts and practitioners to discuss sustainability topics, foster collaboration, and address shared challenges to achieve impactful goals.

On January 11, 2025, hosted a pivotal session titled “Empowering Women in Tourism: Breaking Barriers and Shaping Destinations.” This session tackled the barriers women face in the industry and emphasize the importance of their leadership and contributions to tourism’s growth. It served as a platform for exchanging innovative ideas and exploring strategies to promote gender equality, enhance women’s representation in leadership roles, and inspire the next generation of female tourism professionals.

Through this initiative, we aspire to motivate the tourism sector to champion gender equality and empower women to shape the industry’s future and the destinations it serves.
