Sri Lanka is home to five species of turtles out of the seven found worldwide. However, these precious species face significant threats due to human activities. As a nesting ground for these turtles, the resort takes on the responsibility of raising awareness about their protection.

With a deep commitment to environmental stewardship, Parangi Weligama Bay engages in various awareness creation activities to educate both guests and the local community about the importance of conserving these endangered turtle species.
