Today, these 3000-year-old therapeutics are followed precisely as they were in the days of the grand monarchs, by in-house specialists who identify and treat the ‘dosha’ (defects) conditions of guests. Sri Lanka takes pride in a fully established line-up of medical services which encompassed the elements of nature, as evident in historical texts and inscriptions on rock surfaces – and has been the base of this unique retreat which resulted in the combination of the modern, yet an eco-friendly ambience of the property.
