Rebuild and Live
R.e.V Computer & Language School
At Ayurvie Weligama, we are deeply committed to making a positive social impact on the local communities around us. As part of our long-standing CSR efforts, we actively support Reconstruire et Vivre (Rebuilt & Live), an umbrella initiative that conducts essential social-economic development projects across the island. Our collaboration with R.e.V. aims to uplift the lives of the underprivileged in our communities, with a strong focus on bettering the future of less fortunate children.
As a socially conscious hotel, we firmly believe in forging meaningful relationships and giving back to those in need. For every Deluxe Room, Master Suite, and Garden Loft sold at our boutique resort, a portion of the income is donated to maintain preschools and computer centers in Boosa, Habaraduwa, and Ahangama. These centers play a crucial role in providing educational opportunities and resources to the local children, equipping them with the necessary skills for a brighter future.
Our partnership with R.e.V. is a testament to our commitment to sustainability and community-driven initiatives. By supporting educational facilities for underprivileged children, we invest in the potential and growth of the next generation, empowering them to break the cycle of poverty and shape a promising future. At Ayurvie Weligama, we believe that collective efforts like these create a profound and lasting impact on the lives of our local communities, fostering a spirit of compassion, social responsibility, and hope for a better tomorrow.

Once known as the Kabaragalla Tea Factory, Tea & Experience Factory holds a beautiful little piece of Sri Lanka’s tea story. Back in 1883, at the very first tea auction, it was only Kabaragalla tea that was sold. Today, the factory has been transformed into a hotel, but its story still lives on right here at the property, in the old spaces, the tea-making legacy, and the charm that still lingers within its walls.

Have you ever wondered why hundreds of wild elephants gather at Minneriya every year? 🐘🌿
It all begins with the dry season.
From July to September, the waters of the ancient Minneriya Tank gradually start to dry up, revealing fresh green grass that elephants love to feed on. One by one, herds emerge from the surrounding forests until the grasslands are home to one of the largest gatherings of wild Asian elephants anywhere in the world.
It`s not a migration, it`s nature following a rhythm that has existed for centuries.
Experience this unforgettable moment with our naturalists at Aliya Resort & Spa by Thema Collection. Go beyond the safari as they share the fascinating stories, behaviours, and conservation significance behind the Elephant Gathering, making your journey through Minneriya National Park even more meaningful.
