As a sustainable and eco-conscious Ayurveda resort, Ayurvie Weligama is wholeheartedly dedicated to minimizing our carbon footprint through the implementation of renewable energy solutions, primarily through our in-house solar farm.

At Ayurvie Weligama, we prioritize the use of renewable energy sources whenever possible and continuously strive to enhance our internal environment management practices. Our extensive in-house solar farm stands as a testament to our commitment, currently generating 50% of the resort’s energy requirement. The installation of solar panels strategically caters to different sections of the resort, efficiently offsetting the energy demands of major operations such as air conditioning, water production, and water heating.

Through our renewable energy initiatives, we aim to harness clean and reliable power, contributing to a more sustainable and environmentally-friendly operation. By reducing our reliance on traditional energy sources, we actively work towards conserving natural resources and lessening our impact on the environment. At Ayurvie Weligama, we embrace our responsibility as stewards of the earth, and our commitment to renewable energy remains integral to our vision of promoting harmony between well-being and environmental consciousness.

Stories of Survival | Wilderness in Focus is now open at Alliance Française de Colombo until 14th May, from 9 AM to 5 PM!

Walk with us into the wild and explore stories of survival, strength, and quiet beauty from Sri Lanka’s wilderness, captured through the lenses of Dushyanth Silva, Milinda Wattegedara, Mevan Piyasena, and Raveendra Siriwardena.

We were honoured to open the exhibition yesterday with the presence of Prof. Ruwan Ranasinghe, Deputy Minister of Tourism; Mr. M. Rémi Lambert, Ambassador of France to Sri Lanka and the Maldives; members of SLAITO; and many other distinguished guests from the industry.

This exhibition is a collaboration between Alliance Française de Kotte in Colombo, Thema Collection, Connaissance De Ceylan, and the Wilderness & Wildlife Foundation.
