Waste Management – 4R

We don’t waste our waste

We have implemented a sustainable waste management system across all our hotels to ensure the efficient recycling of waste. Our waste management concept is born of the international 4R system, which is an amalgam of four ideas: Repurpose, Recuperate, Recycle, and Reuse.

The wastewater of Aliya Resort & Spa is completely absorbed into the sewage treatment plant of the hotel. The treated water is utilised to water our organic garden, and dried sludge is used as fertiliser.

An equally efficient and sustainable system manages our solid and organic waste. A colour-coded waste bin system collects waste according to the type of waste. Paper waste is recycled through our paper recycling factory, and organic matter is reused at the in-house compost plant to make compost fertiliser.
