Paper Recycle Center

Pioneer of Change
Image

At Thema Collection we reutilize and repurpose paper used at all the properties through our paper recycling facility at Aliya Resort & Spa. Recycled paper is used to create paper-based products such as drip mats, souvenirs and baggage tags for all our properties.

The idea of paper recycling was initiated under our 4R concept. While we seek to reduce waste and use resources as sparingly as possible, we also want to create job opportunities for the local community. Our paper recycling facility employs locals who are dedicated to creating a better environment for us as well as future generations.

In addition, the process contributes to environmental protection through recycling, but it also stands out for its chemical-free paper-making method that relies solely on water. Initially, the paper factory focused on producing drip mats for the entire hotel chain. However, starting from 2020, the center expanded its product range to include baggage tags, souvenirs, birthday cards, and other items. This initiative has not only helped in minimizing operational costs but also proved to be an ideal alternative during the economic crisis, when printing costs and material prices experienced a significant surge.
