Choosing Between Ayurvie Sigiriya’s Five Treatment Packages

When guests ask which of the five treatment packages at Ayurvie Sigiriya to choose, we always start with the same question: what do you actually need from this stay? Some arrive needing close, ongoing attention over two weeks. Others do better with one honest consultation and five well-planned days. The Ayurveda Bliss Retreat, Harmony Retreat, Detoxification with Stress Management, Tranquil Essence Retreat, and the Weight Reduction Program each answer that differently, and here’s how we think about matching a guest to the right one.

Your First Ayurvedic Consultation at Ayurvie Sigiriya

Every stay begins with a doctor assessing your constitution, your balance of Vata, Pitta, and Kapha in Ayurvedic terms. This happens through pulse reading, a review of symptoms and history, and a conversation about what’s brought you to the retreat. That first consultation shapes the treatment plan for the whole stay. What differs between packages is what happens after it: whether the plan holds as set, or whether a doctor keeps returning to check how your body is responding and adjust accordingly.

What Every Package Shares, and Why the Rest Varies

All five run on the same daily structure: two yoga sessions, a two-hour treatment session, and vegetarian meals and herbal beverages prepared to suit your dosha, or a dietary plan set by the doctor directly. What changes between them is how often a doctor is actively monitoring your progress, and how long the programme runs. A guest with no acute imbalance to manage doesn’t need much recalibration, since there’s little to track that would change the plan from one day to the next. A guest carrying something more pronounced, chronic stress in particular, needs a doctor watching the response closely, because the right therapy on day one may not be the right therapy by day four.

Treatment Packages at Ayurvie Sigiriya: The Five, One by One

Ayurveda Bliss Retreat. A single consultation, roughly 30 minutes on arrival, sets the whole plan. The minimum stay is 5 days, built around Shiro Abhyanga, a full-body Sarvanga Abhyanga massage, foot massage, and a herbal Avagaha Sweda bath on day one, Udvartana exfoliation and Bashpa Sweda steam on day two, and Navarakizhi (medicated rice bolus massage) with a facial and targeted back, neck, and shoulder work to close. It suits a guest without a specific imbalance to correct, who wants the genuine Ayurvedic experience without the plan being revisited partway through.

Harmony Retreat (Wellness & Rejuvenation). Three or four consultations, over a minimum of 7 nights. Alongside Abhyanga, steam, and exfoliation, this package includes Marma therapy, a practice working with the body’s energy points, aimed at general rebalancing rather than addressing something acute. It suits a guest after fatigue relief and a broader reset, with enough consultations built in for a doctor to adjust the pace as the stay progresses.

Detoxification with Stress Management. Five or six consultations, the most closely monitored of the five, over a minimum of 14 nights. This is the first of two packages that includes genuine Panchakarma treatments, alongside Shirodhara for the nervous system and a wide range of supporting therapies. Chronic stress and burnout don’t respond predictably to a single fixed plan, and the length and consultation frequency here reflect that directly.

Tranquil Essence Retreat. A single consultation, but a fixed five-day sequence rather than a doctor-adjusted plan. Day one opens with a full-body treatment and steam. Day two brings Abhyanga paired with Pinda Sweda. Day three focuses on leg massage and dry powder exfoliation. Day four turns to the nervous system, Shirodhara and a head massage alongside foot reflexology. Day five closes with an Annalepa detox, a herbal facial, and a herbal bath. The sequence itself carries the treatment here, not an evolving diagnosis, which is why one consultation at the start is enough.

Weight Reduction Program. Five or six consultations, over a minimum of 14 nights, and the second package built around genuine Panchakarma treatments. It begins with a doctor’s assessment of dosha and the specific imbalances contributing to weight gain, followed by therapies aimed at metabolism, digestion, and detoxification, paired with dietary guidance meant to continue past the stay itself. Fourteen nights is the minimum because meaningful change to digestion and long-held habit takes real time to establish.

Which Ayurvedic Treatment Package Is Right for You?

  • No specific concern, want a general reset: Ayurveda Bliss Retreat.
  • Want that reset with a fixed, predictable structure instead: Tranquil Essence Retreat.
  • General fatigue or feeling out of rhythm: Harmony Retreat.
  • Carrying real, chronic stress or burnout: Detoxification with Stress Management.
  • Sustainable weight change, with fourteen nights to give it: Weight Reduction Program.

If none of these feels like an obvious fit, the arrival consultation itself exists to work that out properly, before any treatment plan is set. For the specific Ayurvedic treatments that make up each package, the treatments page breaks down what’s involved therapy by therapy. Because Ayurvie’s treatments are built around each guest’s individual needs rather than a fixed schedule, the All-Inclusive Package adds the flexibility to adjust that plan as your stay progresses, alongside meals suited to your dosha, so the whole experience stays tailored to what you actually need that day.

Plan Your Stay

Choosing between the treatment packages at Ayurvie Sigiriya comes down to what you need from the stay, not which name sounds most appealing. Take a look at our accommodation, check our current offers, or contact us and we’ll help you work out which package fits before you book.
