The Concept of Kithala Resort Tissamaharama

The ambience at our Tissamaharama resort is centred around openness and freedom which is resembled by the open spaces of green and the widespread paddy fields.
Kithala or The Purple Coot also called the Purple Swamp Hen is the inspiration for the name of our hotel. Inspired by the Purple Coot that spends its time in the muddy paddy fields, our hotel opens up towards the paddy field and a large pond with views from every room.
The hotel’s back garden is a sanctuary for various birds making it the ideal holiday lodging for birdwatching enthusiasts. Whilst giving guests the chance to fully immerse themselves in the nature surrounding the resort, we also focus on providing them with a relaxed experience.
