Only second to the Mihintale monastery in Anuradhapura, it spreads across 1,600 acres with over 600 prehistoric ruins, monuments, and stupas. Embark on a trek through the lush jungle, ascending the 1.2 KM path and descending the 2 KM stairway. Atop the mountain, explore the ancient complex, featuring stupas reminiscent of Sanchi Stupas, ruined halls, a bathing pond, unique caves, and panoramic views of Sri Lanka's eastern province.
