Trek to Monkey Mountain

Trek to the top of Monkey Mountain.

Start in the morning from Wild Glamping and trek to the summit for stunning 180-degree views of the surrounding landscapes around the Gal Oya Valley. During your trek up you will walk through the villages until you come to the forest where a steep 2 km trek across the stunning dry zone forest home to many birds, lizards, and medicinal plants – used by the indigenous community of Rathugala.

The trek uphill in the unspoilt medicinal forests and the panoramas form the view point at the summit view point will be truly memorable.

Learning about medicinal plants and exchanging with your Vedah guide and Naturalist will give you a great insight into the importance of these forests.
